2022-23 School Year
Dear Parents, |
|
During the 2020-2021 school year, we will be working through the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework with our focus on Family Outcomes. Family advocates will be providing information and resources to their buildings but we will utilize the website as a highlight of what has been pushed out from the different family advocates.
September: Family Well Being
October: Positive Parent-Child Relationships
November: Families as Lifelong Educators
January: Families as Learners
February: Family Engagement in Transitions
March: Family Connections to Peers and Community
April: Families as Advocates and Leaders
This will provide an opportunity for your family to engage in new activities or get you thinking about something you might not have thought about before. We are also looking forward to hearing from you as parents and what knowledge you can share with everyone!
Thanks,
The Early Childhood Program

Challenge: We challenge you to find one moment each day to use active listening skills- either with a spouse/child/coworker/etc.
September: Family Well Being
Family Challenge: We challenge you, with full family participation, to complete some type of family play activity but put a spin on it. Example- Play soccer but instead of with 1 ball, use 3. Play a board game but use gloves. Instead of normal basketball, use a smaller ball and a wastebasket or bucket. Instead of just playing cars, get a tub of dirt and a tub of soapy water and play car wash.
Fire Safety Plan: Families are encouraged to create a fire safety plan. Does your family have a fire safety plan?
